To teach all pupils that art, craft and design embody some of the highest forms of human creativity.

To encourage, inspire and challenge children’s views and opinions on their own art as well as commercial pieces. To give them the opportunity to invent and create, revisit and develop their ideas to improve skills and outcomes.
To gain a rigorous understanding of art and design through an awareness of artists and designers, their style and work and how this relates to the world around them.
