Design and Technology Intent
Our purpose for teaching Design and Technology is to help children understand the essential contribution this subject makes to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of the world around them.
- We encourage children to be creative and imaginative especially when solving real and relevant problems within a variety of contexts.
- To evaluate past and present design and technology to develop a critical understanding of the impact on daily life and the wider world.
- To research events and individuals that have shaped our world to inspire our pupils to become the next generation of innovators.
