History

History Intent

• To provide an ambitious and motivating curriculum, which affords children the knowledge and key subject-specific vocabulary that enables them to be successful historians. 

• To provide all children with the building blocks to enable them to become critical, reflective and analytical thinkers - able to question how interpretations of history may differ. 

• All children to have an understanding of the historical chronology of the British Isles and other important periods of history around the world. 

• All children to value their own and other culture’s heritage to enable them to be positive citizens in today’s modern, multicultural Britain.
