Our Pupil Voice
“To take children seriously is to value them for who they are right now rather than adults-in-the-making.” ~ Alfie Kohn (Education writer and specialist)
We believe that children are the centre of all that we do in school. Why then, would we not ask their opinions on all sorts of issues?
Our School Council provide a voice for our children across the school, but it's also important to listen to children and we try to reflect carefully about what they say and use this to form our opinions on what we do well and what we need to improve.
Here are some of Rushall pupils' thoughts.
"I love this school and can't imagine not being here. I think my mum's going to find it really difficult as I'm the last one in my family to go to Rushall." - Millie, year six leaver 2022.
"If someone is stuck in class, it's important to show compassion to them." - Tom, year six.
