Our Vision & Values
Rushall Church of England Aided Primary School
"I can do all this through Christ who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:13
Our School ethos ‘With Christ we can’ reminds us that we are never truly alone and supported in all that we do.
At Rushall we believe that even though spirituality cannot be seen, it can be felt. Spirituality allows us understanding of our whole self; all that we are and all we hold dear. Our spirituality empowers us with strength and courage to ask big questions, enabling us to make a positive impact on our community and change the world.
We have time to reflect and develop spiritually throughout our school journey.
We have chosen the Bible story of David and Goliath at the centre of our vision. Just as David discovered there was more in him than he believed, we too are encouraged to "step forward, with courage, to achieve beyond expectations".
In our school, rooted in our Christian value of Courage:
- We respect others by promoting self-worth and allowing them to flourish regardless of their background, religion, views or abilities.
- We display kindness to each other and practice forgiveness and reconciliation.
- We build togetherness within a safe environment, which allows for a caring community that openly encourages others to thrive. We create a sense of belonging that embraces and celebrates difference. We reach out to those in need; make connections beyond our walls and seek to benefit the wider world.
- We show perseverance by overcoming barriers to our own learning and making positive choices. We have resilience to cope well when things are difficult.
We know that our learning and the love of God will endure.
We agree with and promote our core British Values which are:
respect for all others, being tolerant, supporting liberty and equality, understanding the need for Human Rights and Freedom of Speech, and finally being responsible for and holding dear the democratic society in which we live.
